Rules and Regulations
All participants must adhere to the following rules and regulations.

ARTICLE I – Player Eligibility / Roster

1.01 All participants must be accredited by the FBANA Accreditation Committee.

1.02 Players must be listed on the official game scoresheet to be eligible.

1.03 Players listed but not playing on Saturday are still eligible for Sunday games.​

6FT & Under / Men’s Open: No age limit

14U Girls: Born 2011 & younger

Ladies Open: No age limit

Seniors: Born 1992 & older

Masters: Born 1982 & older

Grand Masters: Born 1972 & older

1.05 All-nationality rosters allowed for: 2011–2015 divisions, 14U Girls, 17U Girls, Ladies Open

1.06 16U, 19U, 6FT & Under, Men’s Open: Max 2 non-Filipino players on the team and on court

1.07 Seniors, Masters, and Grand Masters: Filipino descent only

1.08 Females born 2013 and younger may play down one division

1.09 Players may join two divisions if eligible by age (can play up but not down)​

ARTICLE II – Uniform
-
2.01 Teams should have dark and light uniforms; all players must match jersey number with scoresheet. No jersey sharing.

2.02 No harmful or advantage-giving objects allowed.
-
2.03 Athletic shoes with rubber soles required. No non-athletic or leather shoes.​

ARTICLE III – Tournament Format
-
3.01 Teams play two preliminary games on Saturday.
-
3.02 Elimination bracket based on win/loss record and point differential (max +20).
-
3.03 Tiebreakers:

Head-to-head result
-
Greater point differential
-
Fewer points against

ARTICLE IV – Game Rules
-
4.01 FIBA rules apply
-
4.02 Minimum 5 players to start the game. Less than 5 = forfeit (+20/-20 score)
-
4.03 3-minute warm-up and halftime
-
4.04 Two 30-second timeouts per half (no carryover)
-
4.05 Two 16-minute stop-time halves
-
4.06 Final 2 minutes of game: stop clock on all baskets, fouls, timeouts.
-
If lead is 20+, switch to running time
-
Team fouls: 8 per half. In final 2 minutes, penalty begins at 8th team foul or 2nd foul in that period
-

4.07–4.08 Timeouts after made basket allow frontcourt inbound. Timeouts during live play in backcourt do not allow ball advancement
-
4.09 Overtime:
-
2-minute stop time
-
1 timeout
-
If tied on Saturday: sudden death (first score wins, no timeouts)
-
On Sunday: continue OT until a winner (no sudden death)

4.10 Ball Sizes:

Size 27.5: 9U–12U

Size 28.5: 13U & All Female

Size 29.5: 14U+, Men’s, Seniors, Masters

4.11 Dropback Rule (10U–14U):
-
If up by 20+, team must fall back to half-court defense
-
1st violation: warning
-
2nd violation: technical foul

ARTICLE V – Age-Specific Rules (10U–11U)

5.01–5.03 Fair Play Rule:
-
1st Half: 4 shifts of 4 minutes each (no substitutions)
-
2nd Half: open substitution
-
Shifts start with possession arrow; inbound from centerline

ARTICLE VI – Technical Fouls / Ejections / Protest

2 technical fouls = ejection

Ejection = 1 game suspension

Fighting, racial slurs, abuse = out for remainder of tournament

Referee decisions are final

No protests allowed

Photography and Videography Consent
I, the undersigned, hereby grant the Filipino Basketball Association of North America (FBANA) and its authorized representatives the right to:

Photograph and/or video record me or my child during FBANA events and activities.

Use, reproduce, publish, and distribute these images and videos, in whole or in part, in any format, without compensation.
-
Use such media in promotional materials, including social media, websites, newsletters, press releases, flyers, and other marketing or educational materials.

I understand that:

These images and recordings will be used solely to promote FBANA’s programs and events.

My name or my child’s name may or may not be used in association with these materials.

I may withdraw consent at any time by contacting FBANA in writing, but that previously published materials will not be affected.
